Passport panic

I lost, or rather misplaced, my passport today. With a lot of travel coming up over the next 5 days I realised this morning that I had not seen it since my return from Prague last Thursday.

In between work emails and mouthfuls of coffee this morning at 7am I checked all the usual places…. but nothing.

Even a swift rummage through the suit I had been wearing yielded nothing.

I checked on line to see how quickly I could replace it ( 7 days if you have lost it, a mere 1 if you are replacing an expired one ).

It all worked out in the end. The minute I stopped thinking about it I realised I had forgotten what suit I had worn and had therefore checked the wrong one.

And there it was inside the breast pocket.

It got me wondering – beyond friends and family this could be my most treasured possession. Put simply I would be stuck at home without one.

To celebrate I’m off to the Monocle Magazine party to celebrate the launch of the annual Quality of Life Survey and the 25 Best Cities to Live in The World…..which I can now visit again !
