This is just a quick posting to point you in the direction of a very strong article in today’s New York Times.    It realistically describes the challenges ahead for Facebook.

The opposition to the changes that occurred two weeks back (which have been partially reversed) was a very tangible sign of how the user age has increased.   Certainly people in my age band were enraged by changes which made it less intuitive, more disruptive and most of all wasted our time.     It does not take much for passions to cool and behaviour to change.

All the time Twitter lurks in the shadows.  More of that later.
