Family

One of the aspects I enjoy most about Manhattan is that, for all it’s size, it’s remarkably commonplace to bump into friends.

So imagine how pleased I was to bump into L, her husband, two sons and the dog INBETWEEN meetings with other friends. This was a real bonus to catch up as we collectively chowed down on Mexican food.

L is the sort of person you meet once (we worked together) and instantly become a fully paid-up member of her family.

We spent September 11th together, me unable to get to my apartment and her with a husband on the wrong side of The Hudson . Even then we were able to share optimistic thoughts.

When friends morph into family you are indeed a lucky man !
