As Uri, my Russian barber cut my hair this morning, I read comments made in the US Senate yesterday by a Senator close to President Obama. She advanced the case that no private sector CEO should be paid more than the $400,000 paid to the President as long as that particular company is being supported by taxpayers money.
It’s an interesting concept and one the UK could consider but not for the private sector but the public. Simply put no publicly funded role should have a greater salary than that of the Prime Minister.
