On Friday I managed to grab a very impromptu lunch with K. Long overdue and, since we were in Soho, making lunch a sandwich from Fernandez & Wells an obvious choice.
Calling their creations a sandwich just does not ‘cut the mustard’. It’s more like little slices of heaven on a plate. And their creations run out. Almost adding to the whole experience. You literally see your choices narrow in front of your eyes.
Since we were having a late lunch that meant our options were the chorizo or toasted cheese with leek and onion.
Glad that we did. Accompanied with a decent Rioja sitting in the window the world seemed a more mangeable place. Best taken in small bites. Hopefully the expansion policy of Fernandez & Wells ensures a bit more of the world is covered.
